How NDIS psychology funding works

NDIS psychology is funded under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living. There’s no out-of-pocket cost when sessions are NDIS-registered and within your funded budget. Sessions can be plan-managed, agency-managed or self-managed.

  • Initial 60-minute psychology consultation — biopsychosocial assessment and therapy goals
  • Therapy sessions (50 minutes) — fortnightly or weekly depending on need
  • Comprehensive autism/ADHD assessments — multi-session with full written report
  • Reports for NDIS plan reviews and other supports

Frequently asked questions

Can an NDIS psychologist diagnose autism in adults?

Yes. Our psychologists conduct adult autism assessments using the ADOS-2 (Module 4) and ADI-R clinical interviews, with full written diagnostic reports.

How long is the wait to see a psychologist in Blacktown?

Initial appointments are usually within 1–2 weeks. We have weekday, evening and Saturday slots in clinic and via telehealth.

Will my GP need to refer me?

No referral needed for NDIS-funded psychology — just have NDIS funding under Improved Daily Living. For Medicare Mental Health Care Plans, your GP needs to provide a referral.

Can I see a psychologist at home in Blacktown?

Yes. We offer in-home psychology across Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Doonside, Seven Hills and surrounding suburbs — useful for participants with mobility or anxiety needs.

Are your psychologists registered with AHPRA?

Yes. All our psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and bound by the Psychology Board of Australia code of conduct.

Do you work with children and teens?

Yes. We see children from age 4, adolescents and adults — with parent involvement where appropriate for younger clients.
